Does Quake Strong manage the entire construction process from start to finish?

Yes! Quake Strong manages the entire process from conception to completion. We remain hands-on with every aspect of your project from start to finish.

Does Quake Strong help with cost recovery once our project is done?

We do! In most cases where cost recovery is available, we work with the city in processing all necessary documents to help you recover a portion of the cost of your project.

Does Quake Strong help manage tenants?

Yes, our team takes pride in our tenant coordination. We know the toll that construction can take on tenants so we aim to make it as pain-free as possible for them. We maintain constant communication with tenants before any construction is performed on the property. We ensure tenants have a point of contact to get in touch with if they have any questions or concerns.

Can Quake Strong do balcony/EEE inspections and repairs?

Absolutely! Our expert team performs both inspections and repairs. If you’ve already completed your inspections and you require repairs, our team would be happy to take a look at your report and put together a quote for you, free of cost!

What is the deadline for completing my property's SB-721/SB-326 Balcony/EEE inspection?

The Deadline for the SB-721/SB-326 Inspection Mandate is January 1, 2026. Once you have your inspection report, you have 120 days to pull a permit for repairs. You then have another 120 days to complete any necessary repairs.

I received a notice from the city saying that my building is not compliant with their retrofit mandate. What should I do next?

Don’t panic, the process can be confusing for property owners who’ve never completed a retrofit before. Typically there are deadlines to be met, so we recommend you reach out to a structural construction company ASAP to get your property in compliance. We help you understand the full picture of the process and city requirements during your free consultation.

How can I determine my property's retrofit deadlines and the required work to be completed?

Depending on the county there are specific steps in the process that need to be completed and communicated to the city’s Department of Building and Safety. Each step typically has a deadline depending on when the notice was issued, and when the city put the mandate in place. We’d be happy to get into your specific property’s deadlines and compliance during your free consultation!

Can I still get a quote from if I already have plans and/or a quote from another company?

Yes! We’d be happy to bid your completed plans, or even put together a new quote for you altogether. Our pricing is extremely competitive with the market rate and it’s always good to see your options before investing in a big project.

How long will it take to get a quote from for a project I want to complete?

 It depends on the size of the project and if you already have drafted plans. If you already have plans, we’re typically good at getting a quote back to you within 3 business days. If we need to send our team out there to do a site plan, it may take a few days longer.

How can I ensure that my property's needs are fully understood and that Quake Strong provides the attention to detail required for the project?

We offer a free consultation to understand the full scope of work of your project. Oftentimes we send our Field Specialist out to your property to capture imagery, video, and a full site-plan to make sure we take everything into consideration. We then work on drafting a full proposal for you to understand the entire project. All of this is typically free of cost!
